Shot this beautiful section of the NC Blue Ridge Mountains in late fall. The weather that day was turning continuously as it often does high in the mountains. It even snowed not long after this photo. It's so rare these days to look out at an uninterrupted vista with the only trance of man being a scenic drive.

A shaft of morning sunlight through the trees after a stormy evening, the tranquility of cows grazing in a pasture, rapids sparkling with light on a particularly clear day, these are examples of everyday things that inspire me to paint.
