Artist's Description

I painted this work from a photo I took on vacation at Topsail Beach, NC. I loved the photo for its dramatic light, the aqua blue colors of the sea and the way the tide was flowing back to the ocean over the sand. Just looking at it, I could remember the smell and taste of the ocean breeze. Capturing the sea foam moving over the sand and water underneath was a challenge I enjoyed. The original painting is done with oil pastels on 9x12 archival sanded paper.
