This photograph was taken by me while walking along the Haw River in Chatham County, Pittsboro, NC. The limbs hanging over the blue river were a riot of yellow and orange autumn leaves. It was gorgeous fall day!

A shaft of morning sunlight through the trees after a stormy evening, the tranquility of cows grazing in a pasture, rapids sparkling with light on a particularly clear day, these are examples of everyday things that inspire me to paint.
